I grew up in various parts of Greater Manchester including Longsight, Glossop, Bredbury, Denton and Dukinfield. I set my books around these areas.
In 2013 I published my first novel via Amazon. It is called The Clitheroe Prime Minister. It’s a fun satire about the state of Britain, and how hopeless our political choices have become, and how funny it might be if a normal person was in charge.
In 2014 I switched satire for crime drama with the publication of One Man Crusade. In this heart pounding thriller, the North West of England has a new serial killer. One who is going after paedophiles. This book was the first of the DCI Miller series.
I also write for the north’s best magazine Northern Life, and during the day I work for the RSPCA. I used to manage a couple of community radio stations, one in the Ribble Valley and the other in Salford but I found that these kind of “all consuming” jobs really limit your ability to switch off and put your mind onto different topics, such as writing. So I took a chance and left that fun-filled world, and it has worked out pretty well so far.
Thanks for visiting my page, have a good day.
